Interventions

In particular, the following measures and projects outside the building area are considered to be interventions in nature and the landscape:

  • Mining or extraction of natural resources and materials
  • Excavation, backfilling, filling, interim landfills
  • Construction or modification of buildings, facilities, roads, paths
  • Installation or modification of storage, parking and exhibition areas
  • Storage or depositing of waste, old materials and machinery
  • Drainage and cultivation of moors, swamps and meadows

All changes to the use of inventory objects and protected areas as well as lean sites are also deemed to be interventions. The locations of the protected areas and objects can be viewed in the public geodata portal.

Fishing permits

The capture or collection of specially protected animal and plant species requires a permit from the Office for the Environment. Species listed in the appendices of the Bern and Bonn Conventions and the species listed in the Ordinance on Specially Protected Plant and Animal Species are considered to be specially protected species.
