Disposal of animal carcasses

For reasons of animal disease prevention, dead animals must be disposed of in the prescribed manner. The size and weight of the animal carcass determine the method of disposal.

The disposal of dead pets, domestic animals and fallen game weighing < 200 kg is carried out via the local municipal collection point or directly via the regional animal carcass collection point in Buchs.

This is located on the edge of the Buchs waste incineration plant site on Langäulistrasse. The fully automated and monitored facility allows the hygienic disposal of dead animals.

Further information can be found on the website of the carcass collection point
